About LORIQ Technologies

Technology should adapt to business.
Not the other way around.

LORIQ Technologies is a financial technology company serving the middle market. We build intelligent enterprise software around the realities of how businesses, finance teams, lenders, and executives actually operate — rather than asking organizations to reorganize themselves around their systems.

Why LORIQ Exists

Software has asked businesses to change. We think that's backwards.

For decades, adopting enterprise software has meant adapting to it. Businesses purchased a system, then changed their processes, workflows, reporting structures, and day-to-day behavior to accommodate how the system expected them to operate. Large enterprises could absorb that cost — dedicating teams, consultants, time, and capital to bending the organization around the software.

Standardization has real value. Structure, discipline, and consistency matter, especially in financial operations. But providing structure is different from forcing fundamentally different businesses into identical operating models. Two companies of similar size can have entirely different capital structures, banking relationships, and reporting obligations — and software should recognize that.

LORIQ Technologies was created around a different philosophy: understand how a business and its financial environment actually work first, then build configurable, intelligent technology that conforms to those realities. The system provides the structure. The business keeps its shape.

Built From Operating Experience

Both sides of the balance sheet.

LORIQ Technologies was founded by Ryan Toncheff, a finance executive and commercial banking professional with more than two decades of experience across commercial banking, institutional credit, and executive finance.

That experience spans both sides of commercial finance: years spent evaluating businesses from the lender and credit perspective, and years spent operating inside businesses from the executive finance perspective — managing the loans, covenants, reporting obligations, and banking relationships that conventional systems treat as an afterthought. Those two perspectives inform the connected approach behind LORIQ™ Commercial Credit Intelligence.

LORIQ was not conceived as technology looking for a business problem. It originated from repeatedly seeing real operational and financial problems — from both vantage points — that conventional systems did not solve particularly well. That operating context also guides LORIQ's customized solutions for complex business needs.

The Middle Market

“The complexity of a business isn't determined by whether it has a Fortune 500 logo.”

Middle-market companies routinely carry sophisticated capital structures: multiple banking relationships, numerous loans and credit facilities, complex reporting requirements, acquisitions, real estate holdings, and substantial financial operations. The financial complexity is real — only the headcount to manage it is smaller.

Yet much of the technology available to these organizations is either too simplistic to be useful or designed for enormous enterprises with the budgets and implementation teams to match. The middle market has been asked to choose between tools it has outgrown and infrastructure it should never need.

LORIQ Technologies exists in that gap — building sophisticated financial technology scaled to the way middle-market businesses actually run.

From Credit Intelligence Forward

The first platform, not the last problem.

LORIQ™ Commercial Credit Intelligence is the company's first major platform: commercial credit and debt management designed from the borrower's perspective. It brings loans, covenants, reporting obligations, financial information, documents, and banking relationships into a single connected environment — with intelligence layered across all of it.

LORIQ Technologies remains an independent technology company. Its software capabilities can complement the broader financial, accounting, and business advisory ecosystem of Perrin & Co., where Ryan serves as Founder & Managing Partner; neither organization is a parent or subsidiary of the other.

Commercial debt and credit management is the first problem LORIQ Technologies chose to address — a domain where the gap between financial complexity and available tooling is especially wide. The accompanying Commercial Credit Intelligence research sets out the framework behind that focus. The larger mission extends beyond it: to develop intelligent financial technology around the way middle-market businesses actually operate.

Built from experience. Designed around business.

LORIQ Technologies is building financial technology for organizations that have outgrown one-size-fits-all software — but should not need the infrastructure of a global enterprise to access sophisticated tools.
